2008 SIKH GAMES

PCSC actively participated in the 2008 Sikh Games held in Perth.

Events in which PCSC teams participated were:

	Hockey
	Hockey competition was very tough; the PCSC Hockey team scored third position in the competition. The Semi final was played against Sydney Sikhs and PCSC played very good but unfortunately lost the match by one goal.
	Volleyball
	It was the first time that PCSC had entered a Volleyball team in the competition. It was hard to compete with the well-trained Eastern States teams, but the Club highly appreciated the players efforts & their participation.
	Netball
	It was disappointing that there were no Netball teams from the Eastern States or Overseas at the games. But due to a great effort by the Netball girls, there were exhibition matches.

PCSC Bhangra teams also performed Punjab’s folk dance at 2008 SIKH GAMES dinner dance and opening ceremony.

PCSC has planned to participate in 2009 Sikh Games at Coffs/Woolgoolga & liaising with SAWA and support of the community and players we hope, we will raise enough funds to subsidise the cost of PCSC players/ teams who will be representing Perth in 2009 Sikh Games.
